“A photograph is a secret about a secret. The more it tells you the less you know”.
One of the things that being a photographer does is it changes how you see your environment and the world around you. You start to see things you never noticed before. Not just things but light and dark, how the shadows play or the patterns created. You have a critical eye for them and, when they are right, you eyes light up knowing you can, maybe, capture something here about what you can see.
This picture fits that description perfectly. I am in my bedroom, fresh out the shower. The winter sun was pouring in. I took these pictures a couple of weeks of ago and knew I would share them during February Photofest. I thought I would post them all in one but then I found that quote and I realised it fitted perfectly and it started me wondering if anyone would know, just from looking at it, how I got this shot. So that is your challenge for today. How did I get this shot? I did not edit this, it is one shot and posted. Come back tomorrow for 2 more pictures and an explainer.
