A damn good flogging

There really is nothing else quite like a damn good flogging.

I love a big heavy leather flogger that, if used right, can almost knock the wind out of me. I love the thumping great impact it can deliver that reverberates through my body. That kind of flogging is akin to a deep tissue massage. By the end of it every bit of tension has been beaten the fuck out of me. It quietens the mind, there is no space left to think about anything else other than the sensation of the thick heavy leather falls raining down upon me. It is both mentally and physically cathartic.

I miss it.

I lay in bed the other night thinking about writing this post and how I feel about floggers and how much I miss being flogged and initially I thought it must be a whole year since I had experienced it but then when I really started to think about it I worked out it is probably going on two years since I had a proper flogging. The last time would have been at a play event at some point during 2018. Realising that made me really very sad and it stirred up difficult emotions related to the demise of my relationship with Michael. It all felt like loss.

In many ways a hard flogging can work like a factory reset button on my brain, afterwards I feel calmer, happier, more able to concentrate and focus. That is not confined only to flogging mind you, but lots of forms of impact play or kink play that involves processing some element of pain can have the same effect. Flogging though is special, there is an intensity to it that is completely unique. I involves endurance and rhythm, you can feel it deep inside you and yet when it is over the skin will burn with a throbbing heat that a simple caress of fingers across can make your whimper in pain.

He and I have talked a fair bit about the joys of flogging. It was not something we managed last time we were together, both of us travelling at the time meant we were limited on what impact tools we could bring with us. Next time we see each other we have definite plans to change that. We have done some fantasy online flogger shopping too. What we would really like to do is attend the London Fetish Fair together and purchase a nice big heavy leather flogger. Hopefully one day we will live in a world where such shenanigans are possible again.

In the meantime from the great kink bag divide that Michael and I did I ended up being the happy owners of this pair beautiful leather black and white duster style floggers. They deliver a firm thudding wallop but they also can have a bit of a sting in their tail depending on how and where they land.

And I also have the beautiful creation shown in the picture are the top from Godemiche. I have to admit this flogger surprised me as I thought the silicone falls would be really stingy but actually there is a good amount of thud to them and because the silicone has some give in it you can build up to a surprisingly firm strike. I am looking forward to placing both this and the dusters in the hands of someone at some point in the future and yet again receiving a damn good flogging because there are a lot of things I want, need and crave right now but a beating with a flogger is definitely fairly high up on the kink needs list right now.
