Dirty White

by Molly Moore

“Fair Maid of February! — drop of snow
Enchanted to a flower, and there within
A dream of April green, — who without sin
Conceived wast, but how no man may know…”
~ A Flower

I had a few possible options for the ‘white’ theme on Sinful Sunday this week but in the end I just couldn’t resist using this shot because it just fits perfectly with the time of year. I did actually take it last February but at exactly this time of the year. As you can see I had already laid flat on my back to take this picture, February Blossoms, hence why I am so dirty (I know, I am dirty in many ways but you know what I mean). Also my skin colour which is slightly patchy is caused by the fact that despite the sun shining the wind blowing across the fields to this little spot was absolutely bitter. I only managed one other shot that day as a result but I might return to this spot in the couple of week and see if I can get any more.

I adore this, it speaks of fun and frolics and throwing caution to the wind 🙂

Love this picture! Personally, I prefer it to February Blossoms as it looks less posed… and more dirty ?

I love the fact you have dirt on your back and are surrounded by the beautiful snowdrops. The first sign that spring isn’t so far away!

What an interpretation of the prompt, and so fitting for this time of year (snowdrops are my favourite wild flower). Love your curves and the contrasts of texture in the image. You’re quite the adventurer to get naked in February in the UK! Well done!

I’m having snowflake envy again. I find it amazing that they grow in such wild profusion that you can (bravely) roll around in them to take photos. And yes the dirt is a great contrast to the purity of the flowers and your skin.
Glorious image!

It totally looks like someone spanked your bum and left a dirt print on your cheek. Such a gorgeous shot

I just love snowdrops and I especially love how you’ve contrasted their purity with the enjoyment of the dirt below them, well done on braving the cold!

So funny – because of the blossoms, I would have assumed this was shot in summer! I love that you get down in the earth for your art – that’s dedication.

The flowers are lovely, but for me the focus was on the dirt and your skin. I do like that you get into your work, lol.

I think I commented on this one on Twitter already but I will again because it is AMAZING especially in these depths of February. I LOVE this photo.

I love how you show the reality of your art. It also gives us a view of your delicious bottom so that’s good too 😉
