Can you see me?
Lost in the darkness
A ghostly shape by the fire
Am I really here?
Reach out and touch me
Explore my flesh with touch
Do your fingers tingle?
Delve into my core
Feel the molten heat
Is this my fate?
As I wait for your return
To slowly fade away
When will you be here?
To make me whole again
Draw me back into the light
Can you feel it on your skin?
The fire burning through me
Disappearing me into the red heat!

Ps… This is one of a few pictures that I took for the post, Twisted Words. In the end I decided not to use it on that buycialisquality occasion and it has been sitting in my photograph file ever since. I took it using a long exposure setting and forgot to stay still long enough and so ended up with this rather ghostly image. It was a fluke but a rather cool one I think and has made me determined to play around with movement and long exposures again soon. As Sinful Sunday is all about the image, what better place to share it.

Ooh Molly, I love this image and the words are so powerful.
That is an amazing picture Molly. I love it!
Oh I love this picture! And the words are perfect. I had never heard of Sinful Sunday until now… I need to start participating!
Yes, I see you
Not lost but waiting
The shape of our future
Always
My hands on you
Tracing what is mine
My fingers caress
Thrusting deep within
To the fire in your core
To be mine forever
Safe until I return
To never fade away
I am coming soon
To make us whole again
Our love burnished bright
You feel me deep within
I am the flame to you
Rising from the heat
I love you.

Ghostly good, madam.
And the words… you are truly a beautiful writer.
In photography, as it is with love, lust and life, the flukes make for some of the happiest surprises.
What a great comment and so very true. Thank you.
