Took me a while to figure it out (helped by the tags!). Wow, that is really powerful and how a simple object can trigger so many associations. Lovely.
Wonderful idea – we all fit somewhere along the androgyny scale that’s for sure – menstrual bleeding does tend to throw me down to the – “being a woman” level. Fantastic photo, very original…
I love this, Molly. I have seen your other blood shots and I am always wowed by your body positivity. It is something I would to have the confidence to phtoograph myself because it saddens me in this day in age, it is still such a taboo subject.
This is pure, beautiful art <3
I adore this quote and your image is beautiful! You are so incredibly talented!

The contrast of the colors on this one may make it the most powerful on this topic I’ve seen so far.
I must get one of these! Fabulous picture
Great image!

What a deeply meaningful image, wonderful symbolism, and lush in its color. I applaud your artistry!
It took me a while, too; I really like the pool of blood at the bottom and enjoy photography that incorporates blood in general. It’s a part of our embodied sexuality (I mean… my hormones related to menstruation have a *remarkable* impact on my libido, for one thing), so it’s nice to see it be included in sexy photography.
Wonderfully clever . . . as always . . . but such a captivating photo as well.

I hoped you were going to do something like this, I love the glass and blood combination. It almost looks as if a gorgeous red rose has melted…genius!
