P is for pigtails and why I grew my hair

Many years ago before The Charmer and I were even really friends he made a passing reference to his liking of pigtails. A short while after that he actually wrote about it on his blog. It was about a partner of his at the time and how watching her plait her hair had turned him on. The way he wrote it about it, the little details of it, you could just tell it was a thing that spoke to him and it something that stayed with me once I had read it. He was the man who likes pigtails (among other things)

I had short hair at the time. In fact I have had short hair since my early 30’s. I had tried growing it a couple of times before but the moment it got to the awkward stage between lengths I would get annoyed with it and cut it short again but then about three years ago seeing my daughters beautiful long hair made me think back to the days when I had long hair and it really made me want to grow it again. I knew if I didn’t do it soon then I properly wouldn’t ever do it also the older I got the longer it would take

But also if I am honest, I wanted to be able to tie it in pigtails.

I thought it would take forever and I was worried it wouldn’t be as thick and healthy as it had been in my 20’s but apparently I need not have worried as it actually grew really quickly and I absolutely love having long hair again. I can’t ever imagine cutting it short now but as I say often here, never say never, but for now. It is staying long.

It also seems that The Charmer is not the only one who likes my long hair. I know that MJ has a bit of a thing for those little wispy curls that escape down your neck when you have it all gathered up on on your head. How do I know… because I inadvertently sent him a cleavage shot one day which included that and the little curl of hair seemed to get a stronger reaction than the boobs on that day

And The Gentleman, he likes it because it gives him something to curl his fist into so he can hold me down or pin or use it to pin me in place so he can use my mouth.

As for The Charmer, the initial motivator for my growing it long, not that he knew that at the time. It wasn’t until I was with him in Miami that I confessed that little secret to him. Well a bit like The Gentleman he likes it because it gives him something to grab hold of but also I can definitely vouch for the fact that he has a real thing for pigtails.

But it turns out I do too!

Isn’t it funny how we classify things in our memory? Especially if we are new to learning about someone or have to keep people straight in conversation when they have the same names. When you said “the one who likes pigtails” it made me smile. I have come up with ‘reminders’ like that too for bloggers I’ve read. There was a similar conversation in the comment section of a fellow A-to-Z’er recently where a reader said she remembers the writer as “the one who fishes.” 🙂

Re: pigtails — I used to have sort of a bobbed hairdo, but it was long enough for me to tie up two little pigtails on either side of my center part and my husband loved it. 😉

It’s a common theme among men, I think. My husband loves them, too, and keeping my hair long is one of my “rules”. I’ve usually had short hair in the past because it was easy, but I understand the draw to the long hair, so I keep it that way. I love your nicknames for your lovers. It sets a tone for their characters.

Very nice! I’ve had short hair for >5 years, and now I’m considering growing it long. I just started, but I know it won’t be thick and full. We’ll see. I hope I can manage to have the patience to go through with it!
