“Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind.” ~ Ashley Smith
But also notice your own beauty for it is most definitely right there in front of you but like me I suspect you are really good at missing it sometimes.
When I first posted this image back in 2016, The Beauty of Truth, I talked about why I had kept it hidden for a while and that at first I had even thought about deleting it but that over time I had come to see a real beauty to it. Since then that feeling has only continued and it has gone from an image that made me uncomfortable to one that I really love.
The original, with all the beautiful colours is just so perfect so I wasn’t at all sure that it was an image that was rip for another edit but I wanted to try and I am really glad I did. I don’t think this beats the original but I really like how this has turned out. It is reminiscent of a vintage postcard with the sepia tones and that flash of pink from the headscarf just helps me to pop a bit within the scene. Its not better than the original but I love that it worked and that it gives me another reason to show of this image that I have gone from being conflicted about to loving.

What a beautiful scene, makes me yearn for a country walk
I’ll tell you, Molly… erotic self-photography has really taught me a lot about my body and my relationship to it. It has taught me to be kinder and more loving and accepting. I have learned to find beauty in imperfection and to see things for what they are rather than labeling them flaws. Your memes have been a big influence in this, as they have challenged me to take photos over the years.
Makes me yearn for warm weather and the guts to run naked through the woods.
This is such a beautiful picture!
