Instagram itself, as in the company, is mainly an awful thing especially when it comes to sex positive self expression. However like much of social media it also has it’s positives and whilst Twitter will always be my first and main love, Instagram has grown on me over the years as I have increasingly found interesting, creative, people to follow and connect with.
Today one of those people DM’d me about a picture they had taken and were really proud of but that they were fairly sure was not Instagram friendly. I asked if they wanted to share and happily they did. The moment I saw it I knew they were right, both that it was an image to be proud of and was most definitely not Instagram friendly but also that it was too beautiful not to be seen by a wider audience and so I asked if they would be interested in being featured on my blog and happily they accepted.
It is a stunning image in my opinion. The moment I saw it in my DM my instant reaction was exactly what I typed back to Hexereihex; Fuck. Although to be honest it more, fuuuucccckkk! Because not only it is a stunning image it is also sexy as hell.

For the last few months, I have been exploring myself and trying to figure out who I am. I do know that I am a divorced, bi-sexual male with self-esteem and trust issues But there is more than that. I am not a narcissist. I don’t think I am attractive nor handsome, nor beautiful. I just exist in this new environment I find myself, conservative and backwards Alabama. Each photo I take for this project, I dig deeper within me…sharing a little more of myself physically to help understand me mentally. This is my journey.

Hello…thanks for the comments. I am a very shy, closeted guy. So for me to take these images and share them, it helps me accept the person I am. I am not looking for maximum comments or likes. I am not looking for a boost in ego. It is simply a form of communication and a way of revealing more about me that most people don’t know or see. I have suffered from low self-esteem for most of my life but especially during and after my divorce. I never felt good enough or adequate as she would keep communicating with other guys and had multiple affairs. So this is why this medium helps…a form of healing.
