Blue Moon

The original of this image is called Playing with the Devil and I don’t think it could be any more different from this edit if I tried. That image is light, almost summery with the shaft of light from the window. It is an image I have always liked but when I took it the light from the window was fairly over powering and I have always felt like the window area was a bit distracting so I decided to completely crop it out. Doing that allowed me to completely change the exposure of the image and then playing with the colour tones I arrived at this version which I absolutely adore.

I love how the light is playing along my back and over my bottom and just picking out some of the detail in the pillows and duvet cover. There is something darker and more seductive about this that the original is missing. It appeals to that side of me, that part that likes to be tempting and distracting and makes me think about darkly lit hotel rooms and lustful encounters between lovers.
