Next weekend is the Eroticon 2015 conference and I am delivering a session on the Sunday about photography. The brief I gave Ruby for my session was fairly open and I did that on purpose as I wanted to be in a position where I could really react to the audience that turned up and focus on what they wanted to hear about. However, it would be great to have some idea of what that might be in advance. It is such a big topic that it is not possible to cover everything in just 45 minutes so I am looking for some indication of what areas people would like me to focus on.
If you are coming to Eroticon and even vaguely thinking of coming to my session then I would LOVE to hear from you.
What would you like to hear from me at my session?
Possible ideas are;
- a focus on camera equipment
- techniques for taking a good self-portrait
- props and locations
- how to photograph yourself outdoors
- editing your images
Or maybe there is something else I have missed?
Also, if there was time, would be interested in their being a practical element to the session?
Alternatively, regardless of whether you are coming to Eroticon2015 or not do you have a question about my photography that you would like to ask me? I may well include them in my presentation or possibly even turn them into topics for blogs posts in the future.

definitely editing!!!
Editing would be good, so many people know nothing of Lightroom or even how to pick photos etc, following from that “should you shoot raw?”
My ideas were:
– Getting great results from a point and shoot (not everyone has an SLR with lots of lenses)
– Composition (what makes a great picture)
– Bokeh (how to use it and how to create it)
– Fun effects (Black and White, Split toning, etc)
My own personal kit:
– Nikon D800 with to many other bits
– Fuji X100T (this is my new favorite, such a great small camera)
Shame there isn’t a photowalk around the Bristol dock yard, that would be fun. A practical element would be good, maybe even a flash demo?
