I can’t believe it is the first full week of January and I am already behind on my to-do list thus my plans for here are also suffering. Last year I started 2013 with one of my favourite types of posts; a Scavenger Hunt so in the name of tradition (surely 2 years in a row makes it a tradition?) I thought I would do the same again this year.
I have written a great deal about why I love the Scavenger Hunt so I won’t bore you with all that yet again but I will say that I can’t wait for springtime to be here, as milder and drier weather certainly makes these adventures an easier and more enjoyable proposition. I already have 3 different locations fully staked out and many more on my Scavenger Hunt radar.
In the meantime here is one from last summer when we went to Philadelphia. I love this series not just because they are Scavenger Hunt shots but because they remind me of that trip and this day in particular when we found ourselves unexpectedly child free. We ate steamed clams, perved over all the lovely knives at the Army Supply shop and he took me to see his childhood home.
Our actual Scavenger Hunt plan that day had been to find some railway tracks but when we got to the location that we had earmarked the place was swarming with railway construction workers and so we had to abort but as we returned to the spot where we had parked the car we spied this…
I was just sitting there, all on its lonesome and totally unloved.
It seemed like it was just waiting for me
Just how much I love a really big bit of machinery!
*This (Earthmoving equipment) is No. 45 on my Scavenger Hunt list. You can find all the locations completed so far on my Scavenger Hunt page

Always cheeky and naughty and funny!
A great location. I am forever eyeing those big machines and wondering just when I will get a chance to make a naughty photo close to them. One day, I will get this notch too and until then, I will return to look at yours 🙂
