Another reality

Molly's breast reflected in the mirrored table top of a bedside table with lamp base in the middle

“Abstract art is not the creation of another reality but the true vision of reality.” ~ Piet Mondrian

Last year we had a little trip away to Sussex with my parents. We stayed in a lovely AirBnb in Rye. Two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and beautiful walled garden. In our bedroom there was a lovely dressing table with oval mirror where I took one self portrait. I suspect I shall post that during February Photofest this year.

There were also two bedside tables that had mirrored tops on them. I didn’t really notice them at first, apart from the fact that they were actually a bit impractical as everything you put on them slid around if you were not very careful. It was only on the second night as I lent over the table to retrieve my phone that had slipped off said table top that I realised they had other merits.

It took me a while to get this image. When I removed the lamp the light was wrong as it came from behind me so I ended up putting it back and then having to play with positioning of me and it but eventually I got there.
