In a portrait

“In a portrait, I’m looking for the silence in somebody.” ~ Henri Cartier-Bresson

When I was looking for a quote to go with this image for Friends round Friday I started off looking at quotes about renaissance art and painting because this image just seemed to capture the essence of a renaissance piece. I think it is the tones but also the texture in the fabric and the way the light is falling across his body. It just has a renaissance painting feel about it but then I stumbled across this quote and it just seemed to fit perfectly.

I took this image of the gorgeous MJ last summer when we managed to spend one whole fabulous night together when Covid was somewhat under control and such shenanigans where possible. I took a few images of MJ that night. This very moment: an image I admit to being really proud off and which I feel like this one captures the essence of him somehow and Utterly Delicious: which captures a very different, but insanely hot, essence of him.

What a gorgeous image. It does look like a painting. The light on the bed folds and his relaxed position make it seem so serene.

This is incredible Molly! Agree with others that it looks like a painting, the light is just breathtaking, my heart hurts in a good way looking at this.

This. Is. Stunning. The light, the mood, the frame, the quote, the beautiful curves and textures. Beautiful.
