“Luck is believing you’re lucky.”
~ Tennessee Williams
Yesterday I got lucky.
Not like that you perverts. Although I wouldn’t say no if I got the chance, but let’s leave that thought for now and concentrate on yesterday.
I spent it in the company of women. Five other amazing women running round in woods and gardens in an undisclosed location in South London. Despite the fact that the heavens opened and it literally poured buckets (in the picture in the header above it is absolutely hammering it down) these amazing women happily stripped off their kit and posed in various settings. The weather, although a bit of pain with regards to muddy feet and wet cameras, actually worked in our favour because the place was deserted. After all who the hell goes out walking through torrential rain on a Monday afternoon, apart from 6 women who want to take nude pictures that is? The answer is no one.
We walked and talked and laughed and giggled and everyone came up with ideas. There were umbrellas and muddy feet and a see through mac and at the end of the day their was lemon cake, tea and a very bruised toe. See @19syllables Twitter timeline for evidence.
I have not been out with my camera to take self portraits in a while. Life has been busy and stressful but this trip has been in my diary for quite a few weeks now and I have been really looking forward to it. Taking pictures of others is something I have wanted to do more of for ages and I was excited to get the chance to that. I don’t think I really anticipated how amazing it was going be though, but in the car on the way home late last night I actually had a little cry. Not a sad one, but a happy one, because I just felt so damn lucky to know such amazing women and to get to spend time with them not just taking photos, although that really was a massive highlight of the day but also just spending time together and how wonderfully nurturing and joyful the whole trip had been. I really can’t thank Exposing 40 enough for doing all the organising and giving me a bed for the night and @19syllables @katteroo_ @ht_honey (Happy Come Lucky) and @katelessons (Lessons with Kate) for stripping off their kit and happily cavorting round in the very English weather while I took their pictures. (I will post more of them over the nest few weeks.)
I didn’t think when we set out that a picture with me in it would be happen as setting my camera out on a tripod in the pouring rain was not going to be possible but the rain eventually dissipated and Haiku was absolutely determined that we should have at least one image with all of us in and I am very glad she was as it was the perfect ending to a wonderful adventure and maybe my favourite picture too.

So gorgeous! The second especially.
Molly! When are you going to sell out a posh London gallery? Because I think you’re ready 🙂
these are stunning and i can’t stop looking at them!
Ohh Violet, I would love that but really no idea how to go about it

Truly amazing work Molly and models. Both photos are masterpieces! Sounds like a thoroughly enjoyable, joyous day too.
Two wonderful joyful images Molly.
I’m so glad the rain didn’t scupper your day out.
❤
These are incredible! The second one is like an oil painting. The beautiful soft flesh against the dark wet background is so perfect. I can’t wait to see all the others.

Thank you. I am excited to share them too

Just gorgeous. I love the classic, mythic, arty warmth of the last one, for all the cold wet stone. Beautiful!
Absolutely stunning photos of some amazing women! I don’t know any of them personally but to be so open and positive shows the rest of us that there is still some hope for humankind.
How amazing to have so many like-minded people to preserve memories with!
Oh my, that is superb. What a great opportunity. Both photos are fantastic and there’s nothing like the English weather is there.
These are beautiful Molly, in both quality of the images and sentiment. It is always so wonderful to see and hear about blogging/twitter lovelies coming together, whether it’s for photography adventures or tea and biscuits’. It’s just so wonderful seeing friendships bloom within the community. Although I do hope some warm drinks were had by you all too after being in the rain xxx
This is absolutely glorious! What a celebration of joy! ❤️❤️❤️
The second one of you all is stunning, like a classical painting, I am choked up it’s so beautiful x
These are amazing and I especially like the second one. It feels so strong. What you have written was really moving and I am so pleased that you got the opportunity to take time out and have this experience. I also agree with. Inlet about the gallery. Your work is stunning. missy x
I absolutely love these. As others have already mentioned, the second looks like a classic painting. Well done to all the amazing, beautiful models, including yourself of course, and thank you for sharing your wonderful photographic artistry ?
So gorgeous. Tenacious women! 🙂
That second one has a very classic fine art feel about it. Fabulous!

Thank you – beauty to feed the soul.
Great images – the second should be on a magazine cover – it is magnificent! x
How utterly marvelous to stumble on this post today, Molly. Truly a magical day for all of you. Makes me wish I was in the UK, in spite of the rain!

I wish you were too Jade but maybe one day I can finally get to visit you

It is very arousing seeing these photos, Molly. Beautiful. I wish I had been behind the camera. Actually I wish I had been in the middle of the photo.
Wonderful, is the word that spring to mind. That’s such an incredible picture with all of you on the stairs , composition and lighting superb.
Molly, I did chuckle to myself seeing how composed you look after what must have been a mad dash to get in place.
Oh no mad dashing for me. I have something called a Camranger that basically creates a wifi hot spot between my phone and my camera and I can see what the camera sees on my phone. It is magic
These images have been the highlight of my day. Beautiful, strong, sexy women! I’m a little bit in love.
OMG Molly, this is absolutely GORGEOUS! That last image with you in it too… I keep on staring at it. The colors, the beautiful bodies… I can almost feel the camaraderie pouring from the image! Just gorgeous!

stunning photos….:)
I am really loving these images, the curves, the contrasts, the camaraderie and the determination to capture what you’d planned for a long time despite the inclement weather. A wonderful achievement and very arty.
That bottom picture feels like the physical embodiment of our virtual world of sex bloggers and picture takers. A bunch of lovelies in the nude having a good chat and some laughs and coming up with sexy picture ideas. It’s so incredible and beautifully posed that I’m out of words.
Stunning. And I know you can’t but it’s like I can feel your joy as the artist through these images 🙂
This is the type of post that I would normally skip by as not being the target audience. However, there’s an infectious vibrancy describing the day out and the interactions. I’m glad that I stayed to read it and that you all had a great and enervating time.
nice
Beautiful shots!! I admire the group of you for your bravery and your willingness to strip off in London! And in the rain!! Both are wonderful
nice
<3 Oh Molly, I have so much love for these images.
The last image is almost like the outdoors gave you the perfect stage! I love how everyone's skin radiates off the screen, how rich those greens and reddy browns are!
It should be hanging in a gallery somewhere – the perfect image to showcase how spectacular your work is !
Aww thank you lovely. I am very proud of these shots
That’s so beautiful! You never know that you’re missing women’s company till you meet them.
I’m glad you had a great time Molly and the images are just beautiful:)) xxx

[…] “In the company of women” by Molly Moore A very surprising choice from me since it’s a glimpse in to a world I don’t know and never will. There’s a vitality comes through in this piece. I think it’s enhanced by the rain because the setting becomes ‘nature as you find it’. Six women enjoying a day out together, getting naked and wet – as you would. […]
