Style is a reflection

Close up of mollys eyes and hair in turquise bath water
Style is a reflection of your attitude and your personality. – Shawn Ashmore

Molly laying in the bath looking up at the camera with the reflection of the camera screen floating in the bathThe monthly prompt for Sinful Sunday is to include the a camera in the shot. I spent a long time thinking about how I could do this and had various ideas in mind to try but then I was scrolling through my phone looking for some images I took of me taking pictures of me in the Bluebells this spring when I stumbled across this shot I took a little while ago in the bath and realised that I had already taken the perfect image for this prompt and I didn’t even know it.

At the time I had been attempting to get a good shot of my long hair swirling in the water and so was laying flat on my back holding the camera above me while I swished my head from side to side trying to get my hair to fan out. As you can see I didn’t quite manage to get it to do what I wanted but I did manage to get an almost perfect reflection of the camera (phone) floating in the water with me. Oh and if you look at the cropped picture at the top you can also see the same reflection in my pupils

Ooh, Molly, this is Fab! I can’t believe the reflection is so clear! If it we’re me, id probably drop the phone on my face as I’ve done lots of times while taking laying down selfies ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Molly Moore

I seem to have so far not done that in the bath….

  • Tabitha Rayne

Molly those eyes! You’ve captured them so beautifully, absolutely mesmerizing. I could just drown in them ๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’“

  • Krystal

I commend you for trusting yourself with a camera above water, I would be too nervous that I might drop it. Your reflection turned out spectacular, so congrats, it was well worth the risk!

  • missy

Oh wow. This is such an interesting image. I spent ages looking at and and trying to work it out so I am glad that you explained. I love this โค๏ธ

  • Cara Thereon

Thatโ€™s really really neat. I was staring at the photo trying to figure out how you manage that reflection before I read your description. Thatโ€™s cool

I couldn’t work out how this worked to start with. But you’re right – the perfect incartnation of the prompt.

  • silverdom

This is spectacular! I love it.

  • Floss

This is such a great image, the overall picture feels quite calming, but the way the reflection appears to be floating is almost eerie and I love that combination. The water also compliments your eyes wonderfully, which makes them feel like they are drawing me into the image. Bravo all round ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you and yes the colour tone of the water does seem to have made my eyes look greener than they are

  • Eugene Noale

The extra fantastic thing about this image is it’s also a true reflection of your talent.

Thatโ€™s an utterly gorgeous pic – your eyes look stunning and the ghostly phone reflection is almost like a little angel – or demon – sitting on your shoulder inciting you to further naughtiness. Brilliant!

  • Jaime

I noticed the camera reflection in your eyes first. Because they are such arresting eyes.

The camera in the water only later.
