Video Killed the Radio Star

Do you write reviews? Product reviews? Book reviews? Website reviews? Other kinds of reviews? Why do you write reviews? How do you write reviews? Do you have a specific way you go about it or do you do it differently every time? What tips do you have for other sex bloggers who would like to start on writing reviews?

I have never been a big one for reviews of any descriptions, especially when it comes to product and book reviews. This mainly stems from the fact that I loath writing them. I just find them to be the most boring uninspiring type of writing and so up until fairly recently I would only write a review for something if it demanded it, which usually meant that I loved the item so much that I just had to share or more often than not that I hated the damn thing so much that I felt compelled to rant about its awfulness. However I have been offered some very cool items over the years and so I wanted to have a way of doing reviews now and then, that didn’t bore me and so I decided to start doing them as videos. So far they seem to have worked well. The companies who I have worked with on these have been very happy with the results and I have got to try out some interesting new products without having to sit down and write something that bores me.

I am very picky about the products that I agree to accept, I have no need of, or desire for, bucket loads of sex-toys, but I do love exploring new, innovative or niche products. The one area that I would be interested in exploring more would be kink toys from small, niche manufacturers/suppliers. For example I have never been offered a quality flogger to review. If anyone out there wants to change that though, feel free to get in touch.

I can’t ever see reviews being something that I will do on an increasing basis but I will admit that doing them as videos has meant that I have agreed to do more than I ever did in the past and not only have I discovered some new play ‘friends’ as a result but I have also gained some new models for my photography too…
