5th November 2011
Remember, remember the Fifth of November,
the Gunpower Treason and Plot,
I see no reason why Gunpowder Treason should ever be forgot.
Tonight is Bonfire Night in the UK, also know as Guy Fawkes Night. It is traditional in the UK to celebrate this event with fireworks, food and friends. Lots of people go to organised bonfire events where there will be a firework display and large bonfire but many people also do their own thing at home. Tonight we had 6 children round, had fireworks and sparklers and cooked sausages on the BBQ. The kids are now sitting in the front room eating popcorn and watching Coraline…. I am looking forward to them going to bed though, then maybe Sir and I can make some of our own fireworks!

Ps… Day 6 of the ‘post a picture everyday’ task and no flesh just me enjoying my camera!

I love fireworks displays!
Unfortunately, where I live, personal possession of fireworks is illegal, though that does not seem to stop the neighbourhood kids from having private ‘displays’ right around Independence Day here 😛
