“She was made of flesh and eyelashes.” Leonard Cohen
The prompt this month is Macro. You would have thought considering that I write these prompts I would have an image all ready to go. Sometimes I do and sometimes, like this month I don’t hence why I spent the last hour or so in the garden with my camera, tripod and camranger trying to get a good shot.
It seems I had temporarily forgotten how damn tricky macro photography is. You have to be so patient because there is basically no room for error, you move in the slightest and everything is out of focus. I took a lot of pictures all of which are out of focus, apart from this one, that I am really rather pleased with.

Well done! You managed it, and this is a beautiful image.
I don’t have a macro lens, so did what I could.
I tried this morning to do a similar image and I just couldn’t get it to work without a macro lens so my OH told me to strip off instead as he had an idea, which became my image for this week instead 🙂
This image is incredible <3 I love the mix of the blur and the close up of your lashes as well as the hints of blurred amber in your eyes! The little creases on your eyelid are perfection – so beautiful, Molly x
I’m kind of reassured that it was difficult for you with your equipment. It makes me feel better about my quick capture with just my phone. I love eyelashes, so this is gorgeous.
You ate right to be proud of this shot. It’s beautiful and expressive.
And yes… difficult to take your own macros!

I (try to) do macro pictures of flowers so I appreciate what a remarkable pic that is.
You have such beautiful eyes. I think it’s reallt evident in this photo
This is an amazing shot full stop – and yes you were at the front of the queue when eyes were being handed out 😉 x
Fascinating how you managed a circle around your iris!
Haha, it was easier than you think, because it is actually how my eye is. I don’t have a distinct eye colour but rings of colour that end in a final darker outer ring. Most of the time my eyes look some sort of shade of green but sometimes depending on the light they can look blueish or greyish

This is so pretty. A really beautiful image so or was well worth your efforts ?
Fabulous detail and instantly recognisable as you 🙂
Nice photography.
You have the loveliest eyes. I have always thought so.
My goodness, that’s stunning. You have such beautiful eyes!
This image turned out great! Now I think you’ve inspired me to try something similar.
Great shot Molly. It was worth all that effort.xx
I love how soft and wispy your eyelashes look, what a magical shot!

Oh such pretty! You have beautiful eyelashes (and eyes too of course) but it was the eyelashes that captured my attention 🙂 such a great image x
The more I look at this photo, for the more I love it. Real macro photography sounds a lot harder than just a close up, but is clearly so worth the effort.

You look so thoughtful here, this is a beautifully captured and intriguing shot, really worth your efforts.
Just beautiful . . . and such lovely detail !!!

I love the look of concentration in your eye, Molly. It looks like a deep ocean of greens and blues.
This is a beautiful photo and I’m glad you persevered! And yes, macro shots can be a bit of an arse!!! Xx
Great minds think alike 😉
I love how you’ve focused on the lashes though which gives it a whole different feel. I still have no idea how you manage to do this alone. Four different rooms and I ended up having to be propped up by countless cushions and still hold my breath!
