Awaken

This is a blast from the past picture. I took this years ago in a meadow very close to where I used to live. In fact the meadow was in the fields behind my children’s primary school. It was a beautiful warm summer day when I took this and I could hear the children out playing in the playground. Which is a good thing because if they are in school they are not running round the nature reserve. One of the things I learned very early on when taking outdoor self portraits was to never do it at the weekend or during school holidays. Also the best time of time was between 10 and 2. You have mostly missed the morning dog walkers and it’s too early for the afternoon walkers or after school families.

Why didn’t I post it back when I took it? No idea. I have shared others from that day but until now, not this one.
