The lovely people at UberKinky sent me some of their UberKinky Hempex Synthetic Hemp Bondage Rope * to use in my photographs and boy did I have fun with it, creating this image; Born to be Wild that I am very proud of. However I also decided that I had more to say about this rope than a picture would allow and so I recorded one of my video reviews to share my thoughts on this product

This is a really interesting and helpful review. I’ve been contemplating giving hempex a try for a while.
I would just also mention that one advantage of the hempex over traditional hemp is the increased strength, which makes it well worth considering for suspension work.
I’d also add that the texture and feel of hemp (and jute) can vary (especially with regard to shedding fibres) depending on how the ropes are finished (burnishing, tensioning, oiling etc).
