A few weeks ago I was taking pictures in the mirror for Hyacinth Jones #Boobday meme. The theme was mirrors, one of my favourite tools when it comes to self-portrait pictures and I couldn’t resist the opportunity to play along. So there I was with boobs out, camera round my neck, trying to get the outline of my boobs against the red of the blanket on our bed when I noticed the way the beveled edge of the mirror was creating a double image. My original plan for the image was immediately discarded in favour of this new-found interest. Yes I am a bit like a magpie when it comes to my images,
“oh look, something shiny & new let’s do THAT instead”.
However as a general rule I have found this ‘magpie’ trait to actually work really well when it comes to photography. It caught your eye for a reason, because it was interesting , different, exciting etc and my advice is, when that happens, go with it. Cast aside you original plan, you can always come back to it another day and try to capture that distraction instead. It often works out really well….
You can see the image I sent to Hyacinth on her post; Friday, May 30th, is MIRROR Boobday!

That’s really cool! I’d never thought of using the bevel on a mirror before! 😉
I love reflective images, and this is so very intriguing…very nice capture indeed

Love this effect! The lighting is wonderful and I like how the decorative edge of the mirror frame mimics the shape of your nipples. Dreamlike.
a lovely double image
What a fabulous capture! Bevelled mirrors are such fun!

I totally agree–I think it’s best to go with what catches your eye in the moment rather than try to stick to a rigid plan. I LOVE the surreal feel of the effect in your shot!

There you go again – distracting this breast man.
I love when something else catches my eye and then distracts me from my original plan and gives me a more interesting image that what I had in mind. Love this image of yours!

I’m with you on the whole magpie thing, and this is a really cool discovery. Really hot photo too 🙂
I love seeing you explore through your pictures. You are one scarily creative and talented lady. Beautiful.
Titillating and teasing. 😉
That is a really cool effect! and I love both this and the one you sent to Hyacinth 🙂

I really like the change of mind, fluid advice to taking photos. You’re right: it caught our attention for a reason.
Very sexy photo as always. This is an intriguing view – at first glance I thought you had both hands up proffering your boobs/nipples, until I read your words and realised there was a mirror in the pic. Captivating.
I love magpie moments, they often come out so much better than well planned images. And this one proves how stunning they can be.
Ooohh . . . lovely nipple(s) . . . and very clever!!!

When I first glimpsed this image, my first thought was ‘Oh, my goodness! Molly has the most perfectly symmetrical boobs ever!” 🙂 I love how this picture really makes you look, that the use of the mirror isn’t immediately obvious. The focus on the nipple, too, is wonderful. Outstanding shot of a very lovely pair of breasts. Jane xxx
Damn that is so hot the way you have taken hold of your breasts.
I like the bevel mirror idea you used for your naked roast nipple. I always like your black and white Images.
