So I had plans for this weeks post but that has all gone out the window because Michael is in hospital. He has been battling an Ulcerative Colitis flare up for a little while now and today the doctors decided that he needed to admitted to hospital to try and fix things.

It has been a somewhat stressful and scary time but I hope that when I say i am relieved that he is in hospital that makes sense. I am relieved because he was getting worse and being a stubborn old bugger seemed to be trying to tough it out a bit. Hopefully now though he will get the treatment and care he needs to start getting better so he can get back to telling awful jokes and giving me hugs and kisses.

So, no real wicked on this Wicked Wednesday just a newsflash live update of life as it happens. Watch this space (actually you are better keeping an eye on twitter) for further updates as this story continues to unfold.

I have a stubborn old bugger of my own, and I understand well the worry/relief of having him in the hospital. It's both stressful and comforting - for me - when said old bugger is there, yet it's draining in a hyperfocused vigilence kind of way. I feel you. Here's hoping it'll all be over soon and that his homecoming comes complete with the respite of the kind of deep sleep that hospitals don't provide. Take care of you. xoxo

I hope he heals quickly. It doesn’t sound like a lot of fun to spend time in the hospital but it still sounds like the best place for him to be. Please take care of yourself too. You both are important to many of us.
