“A gush of bird song, a patter of dew
A cloud and a rainbow’s warning;
Suddenly sunshine and perfect blue
An April day in the morning!”
~ Harriet Elizabeth Prescott Spofford
I took this picture (and some others that will eventually appear) on Monday. It was not quite a sunny as I would have liked but unlike much of this week it was not raining. It was the first time in ages I had been out on my own with my camera and the Bluebells were definitely at their best creating a beautiful thick carpet of blue beneath the trees. I spent about 30 minutes naked in them and very nearly texted home for permission to have a wank but by the time I thought about doing that I was actually getting a bit cold so decided to save it for when I got home.
This image is exactly as I shot it. I have slightly reduced the exposure and bought up the clarity ever-so slightly but apart from that it is straight out of camera. I didn’t crop it either, I took it with my face cut off, not on purpose mind you, that was a misjudgment on my part but when I got home I decided this was my favourite image I took. Usually those rolls round my tummy would upset me and have me dumping a picture like this but I really do love this shot, curves and bumps and all.
