I first spotted this bench in the church yard of a village near us last summer but at the time I was there with other people. Since then I have returned a number of times both alone and with @domsigns but there has always been someone around, that is until a few weeks ago. We were out in the car and he suggested we take a little detour to see if we might get lucky.
Here is the bench in question. From reading the nearby graves it would appear that Molly and Anne were probably Grandmother and Granddaughter. Clearly Molly lived to a ripe old age even, sadly, outliving her granddaughter by a year.
However my reason for coming here is to complete another Scavenger Hunt location, that of, ‘Your name (found out in the world) and I am pretty sure this bench qualifies
Seeing as Molly was 92 when she passed away I like to think that she lived a full and fun life and that my slightly unconventional use of her bench might even be greeted with a giggle.
And we only had time for one more shot as the reason I appear distracted is because I can hear a car pulling up at the side of the church yard and moments later a lady appeared with her watering-can but by then we were both innocently sitting side by side on the bench like butter wouldn’t melt…
Lets hope Molly was a girl who appreciated a bit of naughtiness in her life!
This is my 69th Scavenger Hunt location. You can find all the locations completed so far on my Scavenger hunt page
