Pigtails

P is for pigtails and why I grew my hair

Many years ago I knew a man who loved pigtails. He actually wrote about it on his blog. It was about a partner of his at the time and how watching her plait her hair had turned him on. The way he wrote it about it, the little details of it, you could just tell it was a thing that spoke to him and it something that stayed with me once I had read it. He was the man who likes pigtails.

I had short hair at the time. In fact I have had short hair since my early 30’s. I had tried growing it a couple of times before but the moment it got to the awkward stage between lengths I would get annoyed with it and cut it short again but then about three years ago seeing my daughters beautiful long hair made me think back to the days when I had long hair and it really made me want to grow it again. I knew if I didn’t do it soon then I properly wouldn’t ever do it also the older I got the longer it would potentially take and so I decided to let it grow and maybe grow long enough to tie into pigtails.

I thought it would take forever and I was worried it wouldn’t be as thick and healthy as it had been in my 20’s but apparently I need not have worried as it actually grew really quickly and I absolutely love having long hair again. I can’t ever imagine cutting it short now but as I say often here, never say never, but for now. It is staying long.

Turns out that various partners are rather fond of it too. Long hair does give you something to really grab a hold of and also I have found that some men love the little tendrils of hair that fall down when you have it pinned up and others love it long and flowing but so many seem to love the pigtails which is good because I love them too.

They make me feel cute and playful and happy when I plaint my hair into those twisted ribbons of hair. I recently bought a set of matching mini scrunchies in a variety of pinks and purples so that it would match a lot of my clothes. Sometimes there are no plaits, just what we call in the UK bunches and sometimes I even go for a Princess Leah space buns look. I love having long hair and all the potential things I can do with it. Also unlike short hair you can get away with washing it once or twice a week.

What’s not not to love about long hair and pigtails?

Isn't it funny how we classify things in our memory? Especially if we are new to learning about someone or have to keep people straight in conversation when they have the same names. When you said "the one who likes pigtails" it made me smile. I have come up with 'reminders' like that too for bloggers I've read. There was a similar conversation in the comment section of a fellow A-to-Z'er recently where a reader said she remembers the writer as "the one who fishes." :) Re: pigtails -- I used to have sort of a bobbed hairdo, but it was long enough for me to tie up two little pigtails on either side of my center part and my husband loved it. ;)

It's a common theme among men, I think. My husband loves them, too, and keeping my hair long is one of my "rules". I've usually had short hair in the past because it was easy, but I understand the draw to the long hair, so I keep it that way. I love your nicknames for your lovers. It sets a tone for their characters.

Very nice! I've had short hair for >5 years, and now I'm considering growing it long. I just started, but I know it won't be thick and full. We'll see. I hope I can manage to have the patience to go through with it! Stopping by from A to Z! - Jayden Vincente Erotic fiction author https://jrvincente.com/a-to-z-2021/
