Best Foot Forward

The current Kink of the Week topic is Foot Fetish.

When I first saw this week’s topic I got to wondering what a foot fetish actually is. I think for many people we immediately image the sucking of toes and the use of feet to stimulate sexual organs but actually on reading more it would seem that it encompasses a wide range of foot related activities from painted toenails to wearing flip-flops (thongs for the Australian readers) but the key to making it a fetish is the sexualisation element.

So do I have foot fetish? I think the simple answer is no. In fact when it comes to other people’s feet they can often gross me out. Long toes, sharp nails, hairy toes, dry skin, none of that makes me go ohhh, well not in a good way anyway. Having said that there clearly are some beautiful feet roaming this land and I have seen many a photograph of them but I still don’t find myself turned on by them. I have no desire to get intimately acquainted with them. Like a painting or a sculpture I admire the beauty of their form and structure but I don’t find my hand straying into my pants when I do and that I think is the key to having, or not having, a fetish.

Then there are my feet. They are small, bit like the rest of me and personally I think they are quite neat and pretty. The nails seem to be in proportion and look extra lovely when painted in some lovely colour or other. I have long harboured a fantasy of Sir painting my toe nails for me, which doesn’t sound very submissive at all I know but my fantasy involves leg cuffs, restraints and him preparing me for his pleasure so hopefully that clears up that little oddity. However no dialogue about feet would in my world be complete without mentioning shoes and if I stray even close to having a foot fetish it would certainly be connected to my love of high heels.

I have a fairly extensive collection of sexy heels ranging from the classic blacks to bright pink and sparkly silver ones in all different heights and designs. Shoe shops call to me and it is probably the one part of my wardrobe where I can be tempted to spend a significant amount of money. Although as a dedicated bargain hunter this is rare but on occasion it has been known to happen. I love the way they look on my feet and the way they feel. A bit like a corset you know they are there, there is definitely a masochist element to wearing them. They make me feel sexy when I put them on, they make me taller, which when you are barely scraping 5ft is never a bad thing. I would hate to think that a pair of heels made me more confident but they certainly put me into a sexier mind-frame.  Slipping on a pair of heels is not something I do to take my son to football they are reserved for more fun-filled adult past-times and thus in my mind I guess, are deeply associated with those activities.

However we are still back to the question as to whether my shoes actually get me off? They make me feel sexy; I like the way they look and feel and I love a new pair of shoes but despite all that they are just pretty fun things to me. I am just as happy in my slippers or my trainers and just as likely to feel sexy in them too. Get out a set of wrist cuffs or swish a flogger near me and what I am wearing on my feet makes no difference whatsoever to me. Just as I love my sexy outfits or buying a new dress or slipping on some delicious lingerie my heels are fun and sexy and part of the joy of getting dressed up and feeling feminine. I love my heels, there is no doubt about that but they are not essential to my sexual identity or pleasure. Shoes are a bit like lingerie, you can never really have too many and all shoe shops need to be investigated at least once, because you never really know what wonders you may find lurking inside!
