And next year’s words await another voice.
And to make an end is to make a beginning.”

I did it! Year 10 of February PhotoFest is in the bag!
I think this might have been the most challenging one yet. Not in relation to the images or ever the words but because my site has been having some serious technical issues caused by an attempted hack. Hopefully after a lot of work it is all fix now and most importantly they won’t be able to do it again but it has meant that in the last week or so I have missed the odd day out.
However, whereas a few years ago that would have really upset me I am happy to say that I have come to a more philosophical view point on it all which allows me to not beat myself up over it but to just let it go as, shit happens and hey ho to that.
So here we are at the final day which also happens to be a Throw Back Thursday day and I will be honest and say I think I have kept the best throw back image to last. Yes, I am damn proud of this new edit and I think it is miles better than the original which was in this post; Loose Delights. You may disagree with me if you prefer black and white over colour but I think this edit gets rid of some of distractions within the original image, The bed frame, both at the foot and the head are basically gone in this new edit. The result is your eye is drawn to my, the light on the end of my foot, the underside of my thigh and along my body to my breast. I think it is such a strong image and the perfect one to end this years FebPhotofest project with.

nice work!
So interesting to see those two pictures side by side. As someone who spent most of this month reinterpreting pictures, I think it’s really fun to see what else a photo can say with a different edit. Here I confess that I do love the black and white because your body position is so interesting and having more light gives me more context. But the lack of context is also what’s intriguing about your color version. I vote for both 🙂
