More than what we see

“While there is perhaps a province in which the photograph can tell us nothing more than what we see with our own eyes, there is another in which it proves to us how little our eyes permit us to see.”
~ Dorothea Lange

Just in case anyone takes this to mean that I am feeling less, or blurred out or in some way lost I thought I would reassure you that this image is purely a creation of me experimenting with my camera and different lens and focus. I really like how this one came out. I tried turning it black and white but it went a bit flat. The colours give it a warmth but also a structure that the black and white strips out.

I agree that the warmth of your skin brings a beautiful dimension to this photo. You look settled and comfortable and not at all lost.

I love the soft edges this image creates Molly - just giving hints of your body.

I love how this shows us everything whilst also hiding you, all at the same time.
