So I have approved both your comments but neither of them are acceptable here. This is my partners penis. I took this photograph of him. It is most definitely a real penis and certainly is to him. Your comment is hugely offensive to both us but especially to him. It is quite frankly none of your business why is he circumcised, whether for choice or circumstance. However just to show how horrible your comment is, he was circumcised as a baby. He never had a choice for anything different. Luckily he is happy and confident about his penis but if he wasn't a comment like this that implies his penis is not real or that it is amputated to have a real impact on someone. DO NOT DO IT. I am so sorry he was forced with no choice. This ritual is an atrocity and it has to end. Exactly the same way as female genital mutilation. I fight for the banning of such acts. My intention was only this. To show and present how a natural penis looks because in US there is a misconception and ignorance regarding natural penises look and should be. Please rephrase my comment by deleting real and replacing it with natural.Not my mother language english....sorry.

I appreciate you returning and apologising but the word change doesn't really make a difference. His penis is natural to him, it is highly offensive to imply otherwise. I agree that circumcision is mostly a barbaric act unless performed for a medical reason however commenting on peoples genitals who have been circumcised and saying they are not real or natural just makes those people feel bad and does absolutely nothing to help further the conversation around male circumcision. Also my post is a celebration of penis. It is meant to be fun, playful, even joyful. To celebrate that part of the male anatomy. It is not the place to advocate for banning circumcision. You could have easily mentioned it without referencing the image but just talked the rates of circumcision without insulting my partner or even talking about his dick at all. Molly

Our opinions and points of view differ.I think that in order to mobilize Public opinion and become alert about what goes on in children circumcision/amputation/mutilation (big business for doctors) we have to clearly state and differentiate between natural/normal and amputated/circumcised/cut. It is not a shame nor should be considered an insult. This is the only way to reach the consciousness .If the victims dont protest/fight who will??Dont take it personally being your partner. If it wasnt HIS foto i am sure you would had treated my comments differently.

No I don't think I would have done because you used such devise language. Implying someone's penis is not natural because they are circumcised is hugely offensive to that person as you have no knowledge of why it has happened. It doesn't matter whose picture it is, don't do it. I agree that routine circumcision of babies is wrong but I am sorry making people who have been circumcised feel uncomfortable about their bodies is not OK. Telling them they are victims is not OK either. You know NOTHING about their lives, who they are or the experiences they have had so please I urge you to stop doing this Molly
