“Put light against light – you have nothing. Put dark against dark – you have nothing. It’s the contrast of light and dark that each give the other one meaning.”
~ Bob Ross
The same applies to rope. It is the contrast that makes it interesting. The way it can both hold you tight and expose you are the same time. How it feels rough against the skin but that when it is gone you miss it. How it is both soft and intense at the same time. That lay it on your skin and it will do nothing but tie it just so and it will leave it’s mark. On it’s own it is just a piece of rope but in the right hands it becomes an experience. It’s the contrast of rope against skin that give the other one meaning.
