Fairy places, fairy things,
Fairy woods where the wild bee wings,
Tiny trees for tiny dames –
These must all be fairy names!
Tiny woods below whose boughs
Shady fairies weave a house;
Tiny tree-tops, rose or thyme,
Where the braver fairies climb!
Fair are grown-up people’s trees,
But the fairest woods are these;
Where if I were not so tall,
I should live for good and all.
~ Robert Louis Stevenson
About 10 days ago Honey and Bee came to visit me. We mostly sat in my garden and talked and talked. There was lots of cups of tea and some yummy things to eat but we did also head out to take some pictures.
Sadly what I had planned didn’t work out as when we got to the abandoned graveyard there was someone there digging up weeds. I have been visiting that location for 8+ years now and never seen another person there. It seemed very 2020 to be photo-blocked in such a way. So with a weary sigh we left and headed off to try another spot I knew. That didn’t work out either because it was too overgrown but luckily I knew this magical tree stump was just close by. The perfect fairy woods for three fairy friends.
