A pining nymph

“Rippling through thy branches goes the sunshine, Among thy leaves that palpitate forever, And in thee, a pining nymph had prisoned The soul, once of some tremulous inland river” ~ James Russell Lowell

I was all set up for this shot when a man appeared on the bank over to my left. Luckily I had not taken my clothes off at that point. I waited and waited and then he sat down and so I sighed, gathered my tripod and wadded back to the edge. Of course then he engaged me in conversation about my camera and taking pictures, it is interesting that as a general rule men assume they know more than me about photography and that I want their ‘advice’. I smiled and let him talk and started to pack my stuff away. Maybe it was my lack of interaction but he eventually gave up talking and left. If only the bugs had joined him

I love your outdoor photos !!! Perhaps you should have asked him . . . "could you help me with some figure-study photos . . . and do you have any insect-repellant???" Xxx - K

I love the way the shadows fall across your skin. They highlight and reveal, much like a form-fitting dress that dips low, showcasing the V into the small of your back. Lovely. <3

Water Nymph! I like how your back is showing the shadow from the leaves. It's so mysterious. Just out of the curiosity - have anybody caught you before when taking the pics?

Oi, nymphs and nature and water? My favorite. I love water photography soooo much. I need to do another nymph shoot soon. Mostly because I want to go swimming. XD

I'd love to learn your photography ways. You're a master of it and you take such lovely photos. It also doesn't matter what we as women do, there's always a guy around to explain it to us.

This is just gorgeous. It reminds me of Gerard Manley Hopkins--"Binsey Poplars" ": " That dandled a sandalled Shadow that swam or sank On meadow and river and wind-wandering weed-winding bank. " xx

Oh this is so beautiful. If only he could've seen your work, maybe then he would realise you know exactly what you are doing!

Gorgeous shot, the epitome of summer. Too bad about the man-splaining though ...

Molly, you are simply the queen of outdoor goddess photos! I just love this, and I love the story of getting the shot even more. No one thinks of the bugs (human and otherwise) that you have to put up with as a nature photographer (Which is what you are, just as much as you are a portrait photographer).

It's a general rule among men that they know more than women about all subjects. Apologies. This is a stunning shot. The location looks beautiful but the subject of the photo is flawless.
