300 weeks ago was the first Sinful Sunday.
Of all the projects I have embarked on with my blog this is the one I am proud of the most. I never envisaged that it would be quite as popular as it is and I am constantly delighted and thrilled that not only does it inspire people to do what I set out for it to do, which was encourage people to explore their bodies/sexuality with their camera, but that it has created a community which is supportive, welcoming, enthusiastic and creative.
It has been so wonderful to see people grow and develop their work and their confidence over time. Watching folks push their boundaries and maybe taking steps to love and appreciate their bodies along the way always makes me happy. I have formed many wonderful friendships with people as a result of Sinful Sunday and even had the privilege of collaborating with other bloggers to create images. Every single week I look forward to it without exception.
No matter what your gender, sexuality, race, colour, age, body type or relationship status there is a place for you within this community to share your work, and that is something I will always work hard to further and support, because for me that is the bedrock of Sinful Sunday. We live in an image driven world now and yet so often it is not reflective of the population as a whole. The ‘body beautiful’ dominates the media but I believe that all bodies are beautiful. Being desirable is not restricted to one body type or age group and Sinful Sunday truly champions that message every single week. You all amaze and delight me with your contributions and without you all joining in Sinful Sunday would not be what it is. So thank you to every single one of you for joining in with my meme and transforming it from an idea I had into a thriving, growing, evolving community that I am delighted to be just one small part of.
You all rock and I look forward to another 300 weeks of taking my clothes of with you all…
