For the most part I keep the editing of my images to a minimum but recently I have been exploring some new creative editing skills. Michael bought me a subscription to a photography magazine for my birthday a couple of years ago. I like the mix of articles about photographers, images, skills and learning. I enjoy the process of reading and then attempting to implement some new skills or being inspired by someone’s work to try something new. This image is a result of that. It is a composite of two images that I took, one of my cleavage and the other of a dandelion layered one on top of the other and then blended into each other.
I really like the surreal almost abstract quality to it. I think for a first attempt it is not bad at all especially when you consider that both images were taken on my camera phone which, whilst being good, clearly does not take such high-resolution images as my Canon but I picked them because well, what better place to make a wish…

I would not have guessed ‘dandelion’ if asked what I thought the overlapping layer consisted of. It creates a veil of sorts, like looking through damaged glass. Very creative!
Thank you and yes, I like the damaged glass idea. It is definitely something I will play with a bit more
