The following statement should come as no surprise to anyone. I love shoes. Search for Heels or Shoes on here and you will get a host of different posts that either talk about shoes or more likely feature images of some of the many fabulous pairs of shoes that I own. You will find cute girly sneakers, Killer Heels, the ones he loves the best of all, the ones I love best of all, boots and cosy slippers, as my love for shoes is not restricted to just the high heel kind.

There is something about shoes that just can transform an outfit. A little black dress needs fabulous heels, a plain black shirt and gothic torn t-shirt is crying out for flat chunky black shoes or boots, a school girl skirt needs cute girly sneakers and a smoking hot red and black basque with stockings always needs red shoes to match. For me shoes not only complete an outfit but can totally transform it and reflect what type of mood I am in. Sexy heels and I am the slut, woman, confident, sexy, and taller than my tiny 5ft. Girly sneakers and I am possibly still the slut but more playful, naughty, with an air of innocence that hopefully invites thoughts of corruption into his mind. As for slippers, well, they are probably what I wear more than anything else, the joy of working from home, and while not part of my shoe arsenal he still seems to find me sexy in them. In fact the other night when this happened: I asked if I could keep my slippers on for it. He rolled his eyes and agreed.

Despite the fact that I love shoes I am a very frugal person and so unless a pair of heels is absolutely the most amazing thing I have ever laid eyes on I will rarely spend a lot of money on them. I wear my heels often but not enough to justify spending a fortune on them. The same cannot be said for my every day boots that I wear all the time in the winter, with virtually everything and even during the summer, as the weather in the UK is not exactly tropical so those I will tend to be prepared to part with more money for. My beloved brown fur-lined boots were purchased in America a couple of winters ago and to this day I still kick myself for not buying the black pair too. However when it comes to heels I hunt for a bargain. Charity shops are a wonderful source. I think many people buy a pair of heels for a particular event or occasion wear them for that and then put them away in the cupboard. After a while when they realise they are too high, too tight, too small, too big or just too uncomfortable for more frequent wear and off the charity they go. As a result I have managed to snag myself a fair few fabulous bargains, most of which appear to have hardly been worn and one pair even having the original label still on the sole.

The most money I have spent of a pair of heels has been on the fabulous silver glitter peep toe beauties that I bought for our wedding and which I still wear regularly and possibly the best heels I ever purchased, The Pinks, as I call them which are not only the most fabulous bright fuchsia pink creations but are without a doubt the most comfortable pair of heels ever to be made in my opinion. I can happily wear these gorgeous things for a whole day and not only not be crippled by the end of it but still be happy to put them on the next day too. If only all heels were like that.

I wouldn’t say I have a shoe fetish, for me that would mean that I found shoes in and of themselves sexually stimulating which I don’t. You are never going to find me stroking or sniffing a pair of shoes and/or wanking off to them but you may well find my wandering into a shoe shop and doing a little happy dance, especially if they have a sale on, when I find a fabulous pair of shoes that fit me perfectly and these boots, cost me £5, brand new….. and yes I love them all the more because of it.

I think those might be the most beautiful boots I’ve ever seen. I am constantly sad that I have such huge feet, because I can never find pretty shoes in my size. Occasionally I’ve found fet shops/stalls that do much larger sizes of amazing ankle/knee boots, but for some reason they just don’t look the same on my huge feet as the same designs on smaller feet. I am so so envious =) x

You need a trip to America, for reasons I have never worked out their shoes sizes seem to tend to towards the larger

First of all: the image is SO nice!

Then… I love your approach to shoes. Love that you have different shoes for different moments, and how they make you feel. And all while I read this I pictured you in your girly sneakers with frilly socks 🙂

When you shop frugally, you can get more shoes! I’m only starting to really get into footwear other than 20 pairs of flip flops.
