1420 Dates

We have two types of dates in this house.

There is the type which tend to involve going out, it might be for dinner, or the movies, or to visit somewhere, or just to walk and explore somewhere new, or somewhere beloved. It is just the two of us, no kids, no distractions, just us. We will talk and laugh and hold hands and be silly. As a general rule what we do and where we go is something we will decide on together but sometimes he will just decide, such as a couple of weekends ago when I woke in the morning he informed me. “Today we are going to the movies” through sleepy eyes I inquired why and the reply I got was “Because I want to”. An answer that makes me very happy. There is no debate, no need for me to make a decision. I just go and, as with most things, we have a wonderful time because if there is one thing about life with @domsigns no matter where you are or what you are doing, fun date activities or grocery shopping in the supermarket, there will be fun. In fact, on many occasions grocery shopping with @domsigns feels like a going on a date. He has the ability to turn the most mundane dull everyday jobs into something enjoyable.

Then there is the other type of dates

Like the type of dates described above they will often involve holding hands, laughing, talking and having fun but that is where the similarities end because these types of dates are with whips, chains, cuffs and floggers. Sometimes our play is spur of the moment but often times it is planned, not by me I hasten to add. Just like going out on a date, kink dates require time and a child free environment. So when I say I am going to the gym, or I am going to do some writing he will often say ‘best be quick then, I have plans for you’ and ‘plans for me’ always mean a date with kinky fuckery of some description.

We definitely date differently in this house…

I love it when being with your person, just the two of you, is a date regardless of whether you’re in a grocery store or a beautiful restaurant. That’s a special kind of love and it’s beautiful. I’m so happy you and @domsigns found it (with the added bonus of kinky fuckery too!) xxx

Dates are important aren’t they . . . in any relationship. Time . . . and moments away from the mundane and everyday!
Like you we have two types of dates . . . well three types actually! LOL!!!
But all are fun . . . and making the most of (all) those moments are important!!!

What a brilliant way to title the post! I feel exactly the same way with “M” as long as we are together whatever we do feels like a date of some sort. I love that image!

Can I just say how perfectly Remittance Girl has captured you two in this picture? I love that we can’t quite see your faces, yet it’s so very, very clear that you’re smiling into one another. Happy. That’s what it is. And it’s lovely to look at.

“kink dates require time and a child free environment”

Yes. Yes, they do. We have to plan ours well in advance these days, which isn’t ideal. But I must say I love the anticipation of them. Knowing they are on the calendar … 🙂 Jane xxx
