Strangers in the night

by Molly Moore
Black and White nude of neck and shoulders

Shape and form
Curves and dips
To be explored
With fingertips

Shadow and silhouette
Dark and light
You and me
This perfect night

Twist and hurt
Rip and tear
Hold me tight
By my hair

Skin and tissue
Flesh and bone
Consume me now
Set the tone

Leave nothing known
In my mind
In all this
Myself I find

Black and White nude of neck and shouldersSinful Sunday badge

I adore the curve of that line – so powerfully erotic. Your words are so fitting for it.

Beautifully expressed curves and dips – both in the image and the verse. Clever 🙂

Silverdrop (who’s minor is in art) often discuss the difference, with examples, of the difference between art and craft. Many people consider photography a craft. However, this is one of those pictures that crosses the line into art.

Oh wow. This is beautiful. I went to The Photographer’s Gallery yesterday and treated myself to the Bill Brandt Nudes book – the subtlety and simplicity of this photography reminds me so much of his beautiful work. Xx

It’s hard to believe that such a simple image could be so breathtaking. The lines of vivid verse that preceded it may have something to do with that, of course. Well done.

I really love your poem, it’s sweet and succinct and perfectly felt. But then as you scroll down, you see the image and it takes the breath away. So so so beautiful.
