Before I start writing about Butt Plugs I just want to say that I am so very happy that Kink of the Week has finally returned. I know that Jade has been going through some big real life changes, hence her decision to KOTW on hold for a while, but I will happily admit that I missed it. Not just because it disciplined me to write a very kink focused piece on a regular basis but also because through that writing, like so much of my blog, it often afforded me new information about myself. Likewise reading other peoples thoughts/experiences regarding different kinks not only gave me an insight into them but into the huge diversity of human desire and sexuality.

Considering I was so excited that this meme was up and running again I have still managed to leave writing this post to the last-minute again. I blame the school holidays which left me with a ton of work to do but I am not missing out on this so here I am, late on Sunday night, sitting on a sore bruised bum, wishing I could just go to bed but wanting to post this first.

Instead of writing all that I should really just get on with the topic at hand which is butt plugs. I currently own 4 plugs but one of them, a glass one that was the first one I ever bought, is just too big for me. It is painful and not in a good way. I am glad I didn’t let it put me off though, which is could so easily have done, especially considering it was sold a suitable for a beginner, which I don’t believe it is. It now sits in the bottom of my play drawer. I don’t know why I keep it to be honest, it is not like it is going to suddenly get smaller but for now that is where it lives.

Two of my plugs are attached to tails, a whole other kink of the week topic for another time I hope, Jade? One of them, the black fox tail has a wooden plug which is lovely but you do need a generous amount of lube to use it comfortably. The other is glass and has a detachable white bunny tail. However my favourite butt plug of all is the jeweled metal plug that I own.

As a general rule I don’t wear/use a butt plug during actual sex, if we want something for anal during sex we nearly always reach for a glass dildo after a truly terrifying experience many years ago in Vegas where the jeweled plug suddenly vanished right inside me. All I can say is thank goodness for a calm man because I literally freaked out. I mean blind frantic panicking which he managed to talk me down from and calm me down enough to convince me that relaxing and letting gravity and bodily functions do their thing and all would be well. He was absolutely right and within minutes all was well again but it has left me with a bit of a hang up about plugs during sex and so I find a glass dildo, which is never going to be able to slip too far means I can relax without that fear and enjoy myself.

The jeweled plug is, however, by far and away the most comfortable one I own and is ideal for everyday use. Not only does it look pretty but its narrow stem makes it ideal for longer periods of wear. I like the way the bulbous plug part makes me feel full but the stem is narrow enough that it can be easily and comfortably held in place without me feeling to stretched and open. It is a sensation that turns me on.

There is more to butt plugs than just this for me though, when they become really exciting to me is when used as part of our D/s relationship.
