Sunshine

7th June 2011

I love the sun, I really do. I am not a winter person in the slightest. I loath the cold and feel it terribly, I sleep under 2 duvets in the winter, with hot water bottles and sometimes even another blanket on top of that. I find it hard to get warm and even harder to stay warm. Maybe it’s bad circulation, who knows but I was not designed for cold weather and I live in Britain remember, we are not known for hot weather.

Having said that every now and then we do get some summer, not like in other countries where summer means, day after day of clear blue skies, building heat, swimming pools and shorts, strappy dresses and warm nights, our summer tends to me more of a fit and starts things. One day it can be beautiful and the next it can feel like October again, you never really quite know what you are going to get in the UK.

Yesterday we had summer, without a doubt, glorious sunny summer. A light warm breeze kept any humidity at bay and meant that the odd little white fluffy cloud in the sky quickly passed across the face of the sun and went on its way.

He was busy yesterday, I could, and probably should, have spent my time writing but the outdoors was calling me and so I slipped into my new bikini, which I had only just purchased on Monday, grabbed by book and blanket and went out into the garden.

I love the feeling of the sun on my skin, the way it feels like it is seeping into my bones, as if in a warm and loving embrace. Sex and sun now that is one combination that is sure to make this little slut very happy indeed. At least I had one of those yesterday…….fingers crossed I get the other one to go with it sometime soon.

Ps…I highly recommend the book in the picture; Eleven Minutes By Paulo Coelho. I had no idea when I started it that I would be presented with such an interesting story surrounding sex, sexuality, pain, pleasure, submission and love.

Molly, I LOVE the photos. But especially the one with the book! You might not be able to read a book by its cover, but you definitely covered yourself with a book. Brilliant!

Thanks DDD i was rather pleased with it myself. When I take pictures I usually take tons and tons and end up with one of two good ones. On this occassion I couldnt really be bothered, I really did want to read and relax and so took 6 quick shots and didn’t bother to even review them until later. I was delighted to find they had worked out rather well.

Paulo Coelho is one of my favourite writers (Veronika Decides to Die is my personal pick of his). Haven’t read Eleven Minutes though, so I will check it out.

It looks like a lovely day!

I was unpacking some of our books today, and discovered that I own Eleven Minutes! Looks like I just hadn’t gotten around to reading it before everything was packed up. Now I know what’s next on my to-read list 🙂
