I have been taking outdoor self portraits for a long time now. People are often surprised that all the images here on my blog are taken by me, well 99% of them are, including all the outdoor ones. The odd time they are not I always say in the post if Michael took the picture. As a general rule I am also on my own when I take my images. People assume that Michael comes with me but that is in fact very rare. I mainly prefer going on my own, it is peaceful and I can work at my own pace and the silence actually makes it much easier to identify if anyone else is about.
However on the occasion of this image I had specifically asked Michael to come with me, not to take the shot but to guard the tripod because in order to get this picture the tripod needed to sit in the little stream that runs beneath this fabulous tree and my biggest fear of tripods and water is dogs. More specifically dog that love water and will happily bound into it with a care in the world for my very expensive camera. Luckily no dogs or their human companions disturbed us on this occasion and the sunlight shone in just the right way to reflect watery patterns on my skin.

Wow Molly – I think that winged image of you now has a companion at the top spot. Only for I adore fairy images this image would knock it off.
This is glorious – Your body looks sensational. I adore the patterns of sunlight on your body – they give you a goddess vibe as if your veins were on fire.
Spectacular x
Yes. Gasp. I agree :))
Oh wow!
Again.
This is stunning – esp. the reflections on your skin.
Wow, what a clever and sexy shot. So ethereal, I love it.
Initially I got an Alice in Wonderland vibe… a fantastical creature in a tree. But, SciFi too by the reflections, something by Ridley Scott. All in all, a lovely intimate image and I think one of favorites of your outdoor shots.
I enjoyed your account of taking the photo, as I saw the photo first and wondered about the reflections. What thought and precision went into this and my dick shot photography pales in comparison. Interesting about the dogs, if Michael hadn’t been on guard you know a pack would have raced by.
I love the ethereal-ness of this image, Molly. The lighting and verdant green give it a fantasy quality, and the reflections arc like lightning veins across your skin.
Rarely do I see an internet image I’d be willing to shell out money for. This is a rare exception. If you don’t already, perhaps you should consider selling some of your images. This is breathtaking. I’d gladly frame and hang this photo on my living room wall. Gorgeous!
How gorgeous. You look stunning I this photo.
Molly, this may very well be my most favourite photograph of yours ever. It just says it all.
The dappled reflecting light from the river is heart-achingly beautiful ?
Dear Molly:

I can’t add to the lovely and deserved comments above except to say this reminded me of Gerard Manley Hopkins and his love of dappled light. Truly beautiful image Molly x

Gorgeous Naked Wood Nymph! Hot Photo!
Glory be, for dappled things. And women.
You look stunningly beautiful. The light is glorious, especially the water reflections on your body, but also the light coming through the tree canopy.
A really wonderful photo!
I am just gobsmacked by the beauty of this photo – and of you in it, Molly! Are you a dryad?

Beautiful. Such a peaceful and calming photo. I love the little background story as well x
I’ve always admired your photography skills and bravery for often being naked alone in the wilds. But this takes that to a whole new level, it is beyond stunning. I hope you’re proud of this one because it is mind blowingly fabulous and those words don’t really convey what I want them too!

Oh, this is fantastic!
Molly, this is so, so lovely. The patterns on your skin from the reflected water and the shadows from the trees … (And I don’t know why, but I keep looking again and again at your gracefully pointed toe!)

You look so at one with the tree. Your lines matching that of the trunk and roots. Love the reflection of the stream on your side. Beautiful image.
