I took this image for Shoot from Below prompt on Sinful Sunday a while back. In the end (excuse the pun) it lost out to a seriously fucking hot picture of @domsigns that I am still utterly in love with. It has sat in my edited folder ever since, but today when looking for something for Sinful Sunday it caught my eye.
Earlier this week I wrote a post about blood play which also included quite a few thoughts on period blood and some fairly bloody images to go along with it. So I am carrying on with that subject here in a slightly more subtle way. It was not until after I had taken this shot, which I did by just putting the camera on the floor and standing over it, that I noticed that you can see a smear of blood on my thigh. When I am at home working I tend not to wear any ‘period collecting devices’. I sit on a towel and I just let nature do its thing. It is a luxury of working from home. This picture was taken on one of those days.
The other thing I like about this image is that I took it standing in the open doorway to my garden to get the best light but it was not a particularly warm day and you can see the evidence of that the way the little tiny hairs on my skin are standing up and the goosebumps that are peppering my bottom.

I love this! It’s still so odd to me that even after all this time our menses is so hidden away. I mean, I don’t want blood ruining my clothes, or anything (naturally), but it’s happening constantly and no one ever talks about it. I can’t tell if that’s normal or just some strange societal thing that’s happened over time.

Goosebumps are sexy. They’re the skin coming alive to sensual information. (They can come out with cold; they can come up with (at least in my experience) something like a dom taking her or her belt off. Well, that’s specific to my experience; they must perk up for many things that mean sexitimes are coming.)
Also, this pic is dead sexy. That splotch of menstrual blood is definitely part of its power.
