We’re all mad here

It has been a very strange week here. A real roller coaster ride in fact. From excitement and happiness at new projects and prospects one day, which I really hope to be able to share with you soon. To gut wrenching devastation at the result of the EU referendum the next. Yesterday I was sad and scared, today I seem to have transitioned to livid. To say I am feeling a little crazy might be a bit of an understatement…

And I am angry with you, especially when more and more news are reported of people who voted ‘out’ didn’t really mean it. That they didn’t think their vote would count. That they are pro EU but wanted to flex their muscles. How stupid can one be…?!?

I can imagine that this week has been a rollercoaster for you and the image really shows that very nicely!

Thank you lovely. The whole thing is a truly horrible mess and is being used as a gateway for fascism to emerge from under its rock.

I’m with you Molly, very sad outcome in the UK this week with many thinking that they are rebelling against the establishment and teaching them a lesson whilst not appreciating that by doing so they are going to be inflicting hurt on themselves in the future……as well as everyone else in the UK!!

However, we have to accept where we are now and accept that some things are outside of our circle of influence, so let’s do positive and good things where we are in control and share this with others for as best a future as we can have. xx

I agree with you about the outcome but I don’t think just accepting it without challenging much of the hate behaviour that it is inspiring is a plan. I think it is vital that we continue to challenge miss-information and even more so the blatant racism that it has inspired

Yes. I have friends who want to see it positively and think it’s a lancing of the boil, will get worse then better etc. To me, it feels like the start of the 3rd Reich, I really can’t agree.

That is a true look of despair. I’m not sure of all involved, but I think it is a step back.

I’m sorry, you don’t look at all happy, and from Twitter I know you aren’t

We both feel despair at Brexit. Your pic sums things up in a terrible, yet beautiful way.

Wow – really creepy photo. It perfectly conveys a sense of despair. I’m upset about the decision as well – the same toxic attitude that drove people to vote to leave the EU is driving them to vote conservatively in the US. It *is* horrifying.

I completely agree with you. Horrific times. And a perfect image to articulate many of our states of mind. Xxx

I think you have perfectly captured the feeling we all have right now. It is hard not to feel devastated and ashamed that it could go this way. Fingers crossed the US doesn’t follow our stupid thinking.

Everything is going to be allright but it takes time to adjust.being in the UE doesn not guarantee a quiet time!.We wont have it I am afraid.

I have no idea what it is you are saying here? As for everything will be alright, have you actually bothered to do any wider reading around the subject to fully educate yourself as to what leaving the EU means for the UK?

I’m with you here, I am truly devastated by both the campaigning and the vote. The true effects of which we have no idea of yet. So far I have been angry and prepared to fight back, today I have just been sobbing big snotty tears and wanting to hide away. And yes I know, that won’t get me anywhere!

I admit I don’t know most of the detail being in America however it all seems a big mess. Your image speaks volumes to me. I did see a piece where Parliament can override the vote and stay in the EU, is this true?

Wow. What a powerful picture.

I, too, have to admit that I don’t have a horse in this race, nor complete understanding of the “on the ground” implications, because I’m in the US. I know it will work out, but the road from here to “worked out” is going to be very… bumpy, I think.
