Top 100 Sex Bloggers 2015

Top 100 Sex Blogges 400 Badge

Finally it is here; The Top 100 Sex Bloggers 2015 list.

If you are unaware of the history of the list and why I have taken this project on then make sure you read this post: Top Sex Bloggers 2015 Redux

If you have not read the pre-list post that was published yesterday, please do; Tomorrow is the big day. It might just answer any questions you have about the list and most importantly of all is full of very important thank you’s and some mentions to fabulous sex bloggers we have lost in 2015.

Also lets not forget past winner of this list who are: Sinclair SexSmith (2008) Coquitten (blog no longer available. 2009) (No winner in 2010) Guy New York (2011) Molly’s Daily Kiss (2012) Lady Pandorah (Blog no longer open. 2013) Girl on the Net (2014)

New Voice of the Year Award

This award goes to a blog that is new this year and therefore have not been around long enough to qualify for the Top Sex Bloggers list. After much sole searching I have decided that there are two winners of this award this year.

Melina Greenport: I discovered her blog through Wicked Wednesday and have fallen increasingly in love with her sexy, intelligent, beautiful writing. Seriously, if fabulous erotic fiction is your thing then this lady is going to rock your world.

Exposing 40: Exposing 40 has launched herself into the blogging world with style, grace and passion. Her site is a body positive adventure, centred around life in your 40’s. This blog is an unashamed look at, not only her body, but both male and female guests and challenges the traditional ideals of youth = beauty/sex and I am really looking forward to seeing where this project takes her in 2016.

And now with the previews done lets launch ourselves into the main event!

Top 100 Sex Bloggers 2015

1. A Dissolute Life Means

When I started this project I knew Hy was going to make the top 10 but once all the scoring was done she emerged a worthy winner of this years list. Her writing is fearless, bold, honest and raw. She never shies away from the realities of herself when it comes to her writing. She is funny, sexy, intelligent, thought-provoking, sometimes heart breaking, and often heart warming. She also runs the fabulous meme ‘a place for us to honour breasts of all shapes and sizes belonging to all types of folks’. In my opinion she is a most worthy winner!

2. Love Hate Sex Cake

I have long been a dedicated reader of Cheeky Minx but 2015 has seen her completely blow me away. Her photography is second to none and when coupled with her deliciously sexy prose packs a lust filled punch that will leave you breathless and returning again and again for more.

3. Malin James

Malin’s blog is a delightful mix of quality sexy erotica and thoughtful intelligent opinion pieces. One moment she will be knocking your knickers off with her erotic fiction and the next she will have you pondering the vagaries of life. She is a skilled and passionate writer, insightful, self aware and utterly engaging, her blog is one of those places that you can happily loose hours of your life in.

4. Dangerous Lilly

Lilly is all the things you want in a sex toy reviewer; honest, smart, dedicated, and knowledgeable. Her no nonsense writing is engaging and informative and damn can she make me laugh. This woman really knows her stuff, and she is my go to site when when I want to get an opinion on a sex toy. She is one of those bloggers who comes across as being totally and utterly herself and her blog is possibly one the best designed and easiest to navigate on this whole list.

5. Switch Studies

I first discovered Ginger Nic’s blog through Elust but doing the research for this list caused me to delve a lot deeper into her site, what I found totally hooked me in. Her writing is intelligent, artistic, and covers a wide range of topics. It is a true glimpse into her life and thought processes that will make you want to read on. There really is something for everyone here, regardless of your persuasion

6. Holden and Camille

In my opening post about the list back in January I said if you knock my knickers off you are going to do well and these guys totally did that. In fact they didn’t just knock them off they tore them off and threw them across the room. Their photography is quite frankly smoking hot. From suggestively erotic to devilishly filthy these guys have it covered, or should that be uncovered? This blog is a fabulous journey through one couples sex lives in the bedroom, living room, dinning room, bathroom, staircase and beyond and whenever I visit there I always end up leaving with the urge to indulge in a damn good fuck.

7. Remittance Girl

If, like me, you like your erotica raw and gritty with not a happy ever after ending in sight then RG’s writing is the stuff for you. Combine that with strong, well reasoned opinion pieces and you have got yourself a winner. In my opinion RG is one of the best writers of short erotic literature of our time. She has the power to make you think about human desire and eroticism in a way that will at times leave you uncomfortable whilst also turning you on.

8. Stranded in Toronto

There is no one else quite like Stranded in the sex blogging community in my opinion. A fine writer, he has a talent for combining sci-fi and fantasy with humour and hot dirty sex that will have you returning again and again to his site. 2015 has been the year of self publishing for him but that has not slowed him down when it comes to his blog. He is prolific in his writing and there is always something new to enjoy on his site.

9. The Big Gay Review

This blog was completely new to us and both of us were completely taken with it. It is beautiful presented, easy to navigate and his pictures of the products that he reviews are not only beautifully done but also numerous so you really get to see the products in detail. Oh and this guy is funny. He has a wonderful turn of phrase that resulted in us both sitting here chuckling to ourselves as we read. I have a feeling that hanging out with Dave in real life would be a total blast and he most definitely has been added to the list of sex bloggers I would one day like to meet in person.

10. Domme Chronicles

I have been a very long time reader of Ferns, in fact over the years I am fairly sure there is not much of her content that I have not actually read. Despite the fact that her kink is pretty much the direct opposite of mine I am an avid reader of her site. She is a phenomenal writer and her blog is an honest frank account of what it means to her to be a female Domme.

100. YOU! Rori always left this last spot free for the all the other awesome sex bloggers out there. It is just not possible to include everyone, I relied on the nominations to gather the list and I am sure there are people missing, but this place is for you because every single one of you counts and contributes towards this community.

Want a button for your sidebar or blog post? Feel free to grab the code below or alternatively save and upload the image to your own site but if you do that it would be wonderful if you could make sure the badge links back to this post.

Also feel free to pick your favorites from this list to link to in your own mini-list…or even create your own full list! The whole point is to support the sex blogger community as much as possible by encouraging your readers to visit new and awesome blogs. You can grab the complete HTML for the list by CLICKING HERE.

Did you find any broken links or errors on the list? Have I called you by your wrong blog title for instance? Feel free to let me know in the comments below I will do my best to correct them. I really have double, triple checked and more the list but I will be astounded if there is not a mistake in it somewhere that I have not spotted.

So that’s it folks, now go forth and fill the internet with as much fabulous sex blogging as you possibly can!

I am pretty surprised, but utterly delighted, and really grateful. Thank you so much for saying that the site is well designed and easy to navigate because I have been working really hard over the last few months to make it that way. Thank you for the kind words, I needed that. But also, this boost comes at a really good time bc my mom is visiting for the first time in a year (not a great thing, lol) and I’m having surgery tomorrow which I’m super nervous about so now I get to internally squeal with delight all day whenever my mom starts to drive me nuts. I’ve said it before to Rori but I never expect to rank high on this list anymore simply because my blog feels so….clinical compared to what it used to be. It’s definitely not sexy anymore 😉

So thrilled for everyone who placed on the list, and happy to see blogs I don’t know about!

Molly Moore March 2, 2016 - 3:41 pm

Well you hard work paid off as we found your site one of the easiest to navigate and that is a really important thing that many people overlook. I don’t think your site comes across as clinical at all, quite the opposite in fact. I think you come across as someone who loves what they do even when life is throwing a curve ball.

I know have a vision of you in your surgical gown chuckling to yourself every time your Mom opens her mouth. Good luck tomorrow, I know it is all going to OK. I had my gall bladder out years ago and the change afterwards with regards to my digestion and pain was amazing.

To be quite honest it was mainly a pleasure, getting to read so much good stuff. I did take up a lot of my time though as I really wanted to make sure I came up with a list that I felt was worthy of all the work Rori had done in the past. I am glad I took it on and if she does not return I will continue to do it because I believe that the community deserves it, both the writers and readers.

I’m not unhappy about this but as far as I can tell there are few if any male bloggers on the list. Just curious to know if this was down to some sort of policy, or whether female sex bloggers are just better and/or more numerous?

Reply
Molly Moore March 3, 2016 - 10:22 pm

Hi DucatiGuy

Thanks for your comment. There is definitely no policy about gender when it comes to the list. The gender of the blogger was/is irrelevant. The list was compiled from all the blogs that were nominated as it is just not possible for me to scour the internet trying to track everyone down. Having been in the sex blogging community a long time now though I can tell you that it is definitely a female dominated genre. Something that I think is worth celebrating actually, as for most of history women talking openly about their bodies, sex lives and sexuality has been a huge taboo. Times are changing in that regard and I think that is a good thing. However, having male voices in the mix (and maybe more importantly trans and non gendered folks too) would also be a good thing. In recent years that has started to change and I hope it continues. There are two male sex bloggers in the top 10, 3 if you count Holden and Camille as one of them is most definitely male, and in the top 20 there are 5. So yes, there are more women than men but the men are definitely there

Girl on the net March 3, 2016 - 10:45 pm

Just curious, DucatiGuy, whether your enthusiasm for diversity extends to areas in which women have traditionally been underrepresented or if it only bothers you when there’s something you think guys are missing out on?

For the record, men ARE generally less prominent in sex blogging – although there are some EXCELLENT guys on the list, and I encourage you to check them out. Reasons for this are numerous and interesting.

But I’m a bit gutted that your first thought on being presented with a list like this, of awesome people in an area generally dominated by women, is to think ‘where are the men?’ The guys are doing great stuff and getting well-deserved recognition – if anything more than is proportionate given how many more sex blogs are written by women. They even, on Kinkly (another sex blog list) get their own category. Do you pop up in tech and journalism and business and banking and sport and comedy and film and TV and literary conferences to ask where the women are? I do hope so.

Ha, GOTN, I just dropped by to put up a link to your excellent post about this for anybody else that’s following this thread:
https://www.girlonthenet.com/2016/03/04/male-sex-blogs/

I can’t do justice to your comment without taking up way too much space here, so I’ll drop you an email.

Briefly though: You seem to imply that I’m complaining about gender imbalance, which is exactly not the case. I hold the view that people should be free to speak/write/act regardless of their perceived identity. So I’m endlessly interested in patterns of behaviour here in cyberspace, which is largely a friction-free environment.

If anything, I’m rather pleased that the internet, which was once the sole province of sexist and graceless male geeks, has been discovered by women. And that the majority of women on the top bloggers’ list proves my long-held view that women are much better at communicating, especially about ‘intimate’ stuff, than men.

Molly Moore March 5, 2016 - 10:31 am

Kilted Wookie March 4, 2016 - 10:01 am

I have often jokingly suggested that the sex blogging universe is dominated by submissive women. Granted this is a tongue in cheek observation, but us male bloggers are well and truly outnumbered in this area.

Personally, I celebrate the fact that women have a platform where they can lead and discuss sex/sexuality/their bodies/relationships in their own words, on their own terms.

As for us men, well, we are here, happily playing our part.

I’m new to this blogging thing, and thinking about how much time it takes just to write one post makes me awe-struck that you took the time to sift through and read so many sites. As a teacher who spends many an hour scoring papers, I *really* appreciate it!

Thank so much for the list. I see so many of the bloggers I follow and so many new ones. Some I have found through Sinful Sunday posts. Great job hosting all this information for us to enjoy.

Wow. That’s a fabulous top ten, Molly! (So excited to see some of my own favourites there.) A big congratulations to all of them – and to everyone who made the top 100 – but also a massive thank you to YOU for compiling this list. A truly mammoth task, I have no doubt. Oh, and thank you for including me. 🙂 It means a lot (although I’m not sure I deserve to be in such fine company at the moment!) Jane xxx
