An Understatement

Red belt marks on Molly's bottom

Last night I sat and wrote a post for This D/s Life about my relationship with pain. In fact what I really wrote about was why I often endure pain to get what it is I really love; marks. As a result I was looking through all the pictures I had of me with marks of some description or other to illustrate that post. To say I got a little lost in that task would be an understatement and having found it tricky to pick between the various ones I had, I thought I would post an alternative one here for today’s February Photofest.

This image captures perfectly the thoughts in my post. I hate the belt, it is mean and cruel and yet there is some part of me, that also loves it because it is those things and it is very good at leaving its mark and I am all about the marks.

I find it intriguing that you endure the pain for the marks. I like marks in a way. I like it if there is something for a picture but, for me, it is the deep sensations and pleasure of the pain and the flood of endorphins. Marks are an absolute after thought.

I really love this picture. But, it does look painful and enticing at the same time, guess that’s the beauty of it. 🙂

Dear MM,
Have you ever thought of getting a tattoo without the ink? In the words of Willy Wonka: “The suspense is terrible, I hope it will last!”

I love those marks 🙂
I do like the pain of the belt as well as the marks.

The marks are beautiful, but indeed, the belt is terrible!

I like how we have different motives and it’s all good. I like intimate pain and I like marks because, like Honey above, it reminds me of the pain.
Intimate pain – I like the connection, the energy, the endorphins from kinkily inflicted pain. A toothache or the dentist doesn’t work for me. Maybe coz no marks with that pain?
