Round We Go!

Standing on a roundabout

The weather in the UK is currently just about perfect. The sun seems to have made itself at home in the pale blue sky and the temperature is currently something blissfully hot and all this makes for a very happy Molly not only because it is my idea of weather heaven but because it is the perfect conditions for Scavenger Hunting. Last week we headed out and managed to do 4 separate local locations that I have been eyeing up ages now. I plan to keep some of them stored up to use in August while we are away on holiday but I couldn’t resist sharing one of them.

If you are a Brit then you know all about roundabouts but if not then let me tell you, we fucking love these things. They are absolutely everywhere and I have had them as a possible Scavenger Hunt location on my list for ages but in general they are nearly always at fairly busy junctions and so finding one in a quiet location had so eluded me but then the other day my daughter and I went on a bike ride and whilst cutting through one of the housing estate there it was…

Roundabout for Scavenger Hunt

… a lovely open roundabout in the middle of a fairly quiet housing estate. Yes there were houses down all the roads that came off it but none of them were main roads, they all just lead back to each other and so the only traffic is residents coming and going.

Waiting on the roundabout

Surely on a week day this place will be deserted as most people would be at work and kids would be at school? Of course the moment we turned up so did a delivery lorry who then proceeded to pass by the roundabout repeatedly as he made his deliveries

Standing on a roundabout

I have no idea what on earth he thought we were doing taking photographs of the roundabout. Is that a thing, like train spotting or bird-watching I wonder? Eventually though he went on his way and finally it was all quiet…

Flashing bum on roundabout

And yet again the lack of panties turned out to not only make me feel horny but make Scavenger Hunting just that little bit easier

I am therefore claiming the ‘Roundabout’ location on my Scavenger Hunt list as done! *subject to approval by Dee of course!

You can see a full list of completed locations so far on my Scavenger Hunt page

OMG this is great.

It immediately made me think of the different roundabouts in our town and I might, might just have one that is quiet enough. Great idea!

Roundabouts – or “traffic circles” as they are called here in StL, have started showing up more and more here. Hmm, looks like I have some planning to do! 😀

well done. there is a roundabout being built just a few blocks away, however i can not see me doing something like this since it is connects two majors roads in my town. Then again, never say never 😉
The way the photos are done…is excellent.

This is absolutely marvellous – and I am seriously envious that you managed to pull this one off. I need to go hunt down some ‘in progress’ housing estates 🙂

I’ve updated the Scavenger Hunt pages!

We seem to love them here in Massachusetts as well!! I think we might be the only state that has them… but I’ve yet to see one that presented such a perfect opportunity! I’ll just have to keep looking 😉

Not quite as brave as you, but you are an inspiration. I may do a scaled down version. My holiday will be a little more fun for it 😀

Wonderful pictures as always. x
