Most people walking along the beach and coming across a massive storm drain tend to give it a wide berth. After all it is a rather sinister looking structure and it is hard not to be reminded of less sanitized countries where a drain like this would hold way more unpleasant things than just rain water.
But then again I am not most people
And my first thought was, I wonder if I can get up on top of this for some Scavenger Hunt pictures
In fact climbing up it was not as hard as I anticipated. However it was only once I was up there with my legs akimbo that I suddenly spotted the people further up the beach who had a perfect line of sight, hence the giggling and embarrassed face in this image.
And always keep your eye on the waves otherwise you might them suddenly find filling up your shoes!
